Tim has a keen understanding of business, law, management, and finance due to his vast experience in the financial industry. He joined our Steward Partners team in 2019 after spending 27 years in a variety of roles with Edward Jones. While at Edward Jones Tim was a financial advisor, regional leader, general partner, as well as a limited partner. Throughout his career, he has established himself as a professional in the field and has built his positive reputation based on trust.

Tim’s clients know him for his attentiveness, professionalism, and guidance. He is a fantastic listener and always keeps the best interest of his clients at heart. Since beginning his career, Tim has been motivated by helping others work toward and reach their goals. Through the planning process, he clearly breaks down complexities, allowing clients to craft their vision of a successful retirement. Tim is energized working through the financial planning and goal setting process because of the lasting effect they have on his client’s futures.

Tim earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Connecticut and his Juris Doctor from Western New England College School of Law.

Nicole joined our Steward Partners team in 2019 as a Client Administrative Manager, a critical role in our office’s operations. Nicole is responsible for administrative and operational duties, which includes developing new and innovative ways to provide our clients with an outstanding experience and promptly completing client requests. She ensures that processes run smoothly with our advisors and clients to set everyone on a path for success.

After earning her degree in accounting, Nicole was a Senior Branch Office Administrator with Edward Jones. She worked with and continues to work with, Tim Portelance, a Financial Advisor with Freedom Street, who was previously the Regional Leader of more than 70 branches in the Charlotte metro area. Nicole’s experience in her previous role ranged from office administration, client service and development, and support throughout the region, much like her current responsibilities.

Nicole is passionate about customer service. She continually builds strong relationships with our clients and is known for spreading kindness. Her priority is to make sure that each person she interacts with walks away with a smile and a positive experience. Nicole brings a valuable understanding of the industry and time-tested track record of fantastic customer service to the Freedom Street team.
